There are five simple steps to starting your career with Victim Support Scotland.

The information you provide is used by the Victim Support Scotland Human Resources team only for monitoring purposes. Submitted forms are not seen by any of the shortlisting or interview panels and do not form any part of the interview process.

Once the closing date for a vacancy has passed, we will shortlist the most suitable candidates for an interview. We are looking for candidates who best match the criteria, based on the skills listed in the job description.

If you have not heard from us within four weeks of the closing date of the vacancy, your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion, but please do not be discouraged from applying for future vacancies.

If you are selected for interview, we will normally contact you by email. You will be advised of the interview, time, date, location, duration and format.

Our interview panels usually consist of two members.

All candidates selected for interview will be asked the same set of questions. Our questions are competency based and are linked to our  Competency Framework.

If you are successful, you will be contacted by a member of the interview panel.  This will be followed a few days later by a formal written offer from our HR Department.

All offers of employment are subject to us receiving satisfactory references and the relevant Disclosure Scotland check required for the position.

If you are unsuccessful after interview, our HR Department will write to you within a few days of your interview.  Feedback is available on request.
