Tell us your story
Have your voice heard as a person affected by crime
The voices of people affected by crime are at the heart of the work of Victim Support Scotland.
For people affected by crime, giving feedback means that:
- Your voice is heard and your experience shared
- Your experiences contribute to change in the criminal justice system
- VSS, and the criminal justice system, can use your feedback to improve and learn
For VSS, feedback is crucial to learning and development about our own support services. It also informs the policy and communication work we do, including consultation responses, partnership working, media work and campaigns.
If you’d like to provide feedback to VSS, you can do this by:
- Sharing with us about the impact of crime, about VSS support, or about the wider justice system. You do not need to have used VSS services directly to take part.
- Becoming involved in the VSS Reference Group.
- This is our involvement network of victims and witnesses of crime and their families. You have full choice about if and when you get involved, and all involvement is anonymous as default option.
- The Group finds out about current calls for input such as research, consultation responses and workshops in person or online.
- Getting involved, you can have an impact on shaping processes in the Scottish Justice system – for example, changes in justice agency processes and in new or proposed laws around crime and justice.
