Supporting Engagement and Resolution Policy

Our policies and practices ensure fairness and non-discrimination, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, race, religion, belief, sex, or sexual orientation. We recognise the trauma and uncertainty that can follow harmful experiences and approach these situations with compassion and understanding.

We believe everyone has the right to be heard and treated with dignity and respect. Equally, our staff and volunteers have the right to work free from abuse, harassment, or aggression. Violence or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

We expect respectful engagement to foster trust, safety, and choice, empowering those we support. If abusive or threatening behaviour occurs, access to services may be restricted. Staff will identify unacceptable conduct and provide an opportunity for correction; if behaviour persists, the interaction will end immediately.

Re-engagement will only occur under the principle that this policy is upheld, ensuring all parties are treated with dignity and respect and can work without fear of abuse or intimidation.
