Paul McGuigan


Paul is an experienced charity professional with a background in policy, strategy and law. His career started as a legal researcher on publications including “A Fingertip Guide to Criminal Law”. He then joined the Crown Office where he qualified as a solicitor, working in the High Court, Appeal Court, Fraud and Specialist Services and Policy Units.

Currently, Paul works for a UK wide Youth Charity as Head of Partnerships leading the development of relationships, propositions, alliances and partnerships to create new business opportunities from the public sector and local partners.

He has a keen interest in charity governance and in 2017/18 completed the newly launched “Leadership in Board Governance” course at Napier University’s Business School.

As a new trustee to the VSS Board, Paul is looking forward to playing an important part in developing the strategy and vision, to help victims and witnesses take control and rebuild their lives.
