Volunteers Week 2022

2 June, 2022

This week marks Volunteers Week 2022, celebrating all volunteers who sacrifice their own time to help others.

This is especially true for Victim Support Scotland volunteers, who make an amazing contribution in supporting people affected by crime up and down the country.

Kate Wallace, Chief Executive of Victim Support Scotland, said:

“Here at Victim Support Scotland we depend on our volunteers to support people affected by crime when they most need it, empowering them to move forward with their lives.

“Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation. We would be unable to provide the level of service we do to people affected by crime, such as victims, witnesses and families, without our amazing volunteers, and I would like to take this time to thank them for their support.

“At Victim Support Scotland we offer a breadth of volunteering opportunities, which can help many to learn new skills, gain experience of the criminal justice system and access a range of training opportunities.

“If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding experience then please think about applying to volunteer with us.”
