Working together to support people affected by gender-based violence
We work productively with partners throughout Scotland to ensure our services make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of women and children affected by abuse and violence.
Our staff and volunteers help us to maintain effective partnerships at a local, regional and national level.
Without effective partnership working, we would not be able to fulfil our strategic aims. Through collaborating with several different organisations, we are able to achieve a wide range of outcomes to improve the lives of women and girls affected by violence in Scotland.
These outcomes include:
- Influencing policy surrounding VAWG
- Helping to improve the practices of local and national government
- Sharing the views, voices and experiences of people who have been affected by domestic abuse and violence.
We greatly value our partnerships with:
Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service
Scottish Children’s Reporter Administrator (SCRA)
Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service
We equally value partnerships with organisations who support women and girls affected by violence:
Scottish Women’s Rights Centre
As the nature of our work expands, and as crime types evolve, we seek to establish new and meaningful partnerships that allow us to put victims and witnesses needs first.
