Vice-Chair Liz Taylor completes board term
After seven years on the Board of Trustees, we are sad to announce that Vice-Chair, Liz Taylor, has come to the end of her term.
Liz became a member of our Board in September 2012. As a service delivery volunteer based in Glasgow, Liz had a deep understanding of the both the needs of people affected by crime, the role that volunteers play in providing that support, and the evolving challenges facing the organisation. She applied that knowledge to great effect as a Board member, Vice-Chair and Interim Chair, sitting on Finance & Audit, Strategy & Operations, Governance and Remuneration committees.
With an established career in marketing and business, both as an employee and as a business owner, Liz brought her expertise to VSS’ brand development, project management and strategy development. She was invaluable in supporting VSS’ communication strategy and chaired the Communications Consultative Group.
VSS is grateful to Liz for the time, commitment and passion she has already given the organisation and the people we support. She will be missed on the Board but we are lucky to have her continue as a service delivery volunteer, providing compassionate and expert support to people who need it most.
