Our partnerships
Victim Support Scotland is proud of the fact that we are an independent, volunteer-led organisation.
Across the country our services make a real and lasting difference to the lives of those affected by crime through building and maintaining effective partnerships at a local, regional and national level.
Without such partnerships, we would not be able to fulfil our mission. Through our collaborations we have achieved a wide range of outcomes, such as, having victim and witness rights recognised and adhered to, influencing the policy and practices of local and national government, and inputting the voices, views and experiences of victims to support positive changes in the law.
Some of our main partners include:
- Police Scotland
- The Scottish Government
- The UK Government
- The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service
- Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service
- The Parole Board for Scotland
- Scottish Children’s Reporter Administrator (SCRA)
- NHS Scotland
As the nature of our work expands, and as crime types evolve, we seek to establish new and meaningful partnerships that allow us to put victims and witnesses needs first.
