The cost of living crisis
Between the cost of living crisis and the financial pressures of the festive period, many people who have been affected by crime struggle to make ends meet.
Throughout Scotland, some charities and community resource hubs will be closed over parts of the festive period, which may impact anyone who relies on community groups, or foodbanks.
Empty Kitchens Full Hearts will be delivering meals containing lunch, dinner, and a snack on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Crisis, a national charity for people experiencing homelessness, will keep its doors open at Christmas to people who are homeless, offering warmth, healthcare, food, and company.
Trussell Trust have a wide range of foodbanks nationally. Each will have their own Christmas hours, which can be found by clicking here.
Victim Support Scotland’s helpline and online chat will be available throughout the Christmas period. Our dedicated volunteers and Support Centre supervisors will be able to guide you if you need practical support this Christmas.
