We champion the rights of those affected by crime and strive to amplify their voices to create lasting impact. We actively listen to individuals, seeking to fully understand their experiences with crime and the justice system.

The stories we hear serve as fuel for our policy, research, and partnership initiatives. From shaping our responses to legislative bills and consultations to presenting evidence to Parliamentary Committees, every perspective serves as a catalyst for positive change.

Our latest report, ‘To be Heard: Lived Experience Feedback 2023,’ offers a deep dive into the shared experiences of the individuals we support. Together, we shed light on the profound impact of crime and highlight the pivotal role that Victim Support Scotland plays in their journey.

If you have been affected by crime, we always want to hear from you! There are numerous ways in which the voices of those affected by crime inform the work of Victim Support Scotland, and we value each and every one.

We always seek to hear from individuals affected by crime about their experiences with our services. This is crucial to ongoing learning and improvement within our work and in informing others about how our support can make a difference. We particularly encourage those who have experienced harm caused by children and young people under 18 to share their views.
